Just got this. I like it a lot, but two questions.
1] Does anyone know if the "red" safety button has always been on this knife?

2] Any idea why it is on this one and not the M21 large folder?

I think the "red" signifies automatic employment of the Lake/Walker lock when the blade is opened.
No red dot means you have to manually apply the lock.

Going on fading memory here, so I could be wrong. :o

2. You probably saw an older m21. I think crkt is putting that on all their knives now, they had the plain lawks a while back, now everything is autolawks (also, isn't the 14 the "large" folder?)

http://www.agrussell.com/knives/by_...r_knife_and_tool/crkt_m21_special_forces.html has one w/an autolawks (the red dot)
