Looking for a cheaper knife that has some quality for EDC and like the looks of both of these. Which should I go for? Both are same price basically.

Thanks,
Hawk

I own a Mini-Ambush, and have never had a problem with it. It does however use the Benchmade In-Draft(IIRC) system, which makes for a pretty serious detent. I might go for the M21 personally, just for ease of deployment. Gotta love that flipper.

Bladeforums Answer: Get both! :D

I'm EDCing a M-21 this week and I've got to say, I like this knife. As with all my CRKTs there's something about them you just have to like.

*I had a mini-Ambush and the "indraft" bar broke. I guess I "cycle" them too much.

Those of you EDCing the M21, what size are you carring? BigDog or smaller version? Also, does the M21 have the Lawks system?

Myself, I have the M21-02, and i love it for its price range.

My Mini-Ambush went back to the dealer faster then i could shake a stick.

Peace

I've got all three of the M16 Titanium models and the M21 looks like a nice model. If it's as good as the M16, I'd say you really can't miss.

I have been edc'ing the big M21-04 And yeah I also second the ease of deployment because of the flipper makes this my favorite knife.. I really like my M16-04 but the detent ball has failed or became worn and I am having a hard time trying to get this fixed since this model has been discontinued.. but the M21 works like a charm.. even though this is a big folder.. it rides clipped in my pocket just fine with out any hassle or discomfort

That what I wanted to hear guys. I have been wanting one for some time now.. I guess I will just have to pull the trigger.

Now..another cheap annoying ploy to try to get Mr Kit Carson to put the clip point as a production model =D PLEASE or at least a plain edge AUS8 steel CRKT M16?
