Haven't done a rev. in a while and figured all of the knives I have rec. lately well everyone has one or seen them. The M4 I haven't seen alot of rev's on it so here is one that is short and sweet. This is for the non AO folder.
Out of the box razor sharp and hairs pop right off my arm. Right side of the blade grind a bit wider at the cantel than the left side, which kind of bumms me out but I am sure in time they will even out. Just don't like the looks though. Totally psycholigical I am sure
Lock up is solid as hell and lock hits perfect so it can have room to break in. Auto LAWKS feature too. Not sold on the auto part of it but the LAWKS works on all my other CRKT's as described so the extra measure of safety is nice.
Everything matches up perfectly. All the seams with the bolsters and the scales and the liners are it seems to me to be perfectly matched up with no issues of something being higher or lower than anything else it mates to.
Now let me tell you about the opening of this knife. Without a doubt and I don't say this lightly at all, this thing opens as if the pivot is rotating around sealed ball bearings it is that smooth. I mean uber smooth. The smoothest knife out of the box I have tried, and that includes the couple of Sebbies I have had or my 710 by which I judge smooth opening knives. Now in my head I am thinking that the knife will probably be to easy to use my wrist to snap the blade open. Not! No way does it budge when trying to wrist flick it open. Locks up nice and tight but is easily thumbed open. Almost to easy but there is 0 blade play in any direction. Also it uses brass washers which is cool. Just an extra measure of quality for such a cheap knife. But come to think of it my Falcon opens very similarly but that can also be wrist flicked with ease.
Hey for 50 bucks off ebay for a new knife of this quality you can't go wrong. It is not overly heavy in the hand nor it seems in the pocket. What I would like to see with this knife like I said the same thing about the Falcon. If they would use micarta scales and a good steel they couldn't make enough of these fast enough. keepem sharp
