A friend of mine wanted a easy flipper and didn't want to spend a lot, so she bought this Mah Eraser and she was over today. I have to say it does flip as easy as any bearing system I've seen. (plastic washers) It's only around 80 dollars shipped, a striking design, so it's a bit of a poor person's easy flipper. She's happy with it to carry on her person, just in case.

nice photos :) I remember you mentioning something about this knife before, looks even better here in real life photos and looks like the designer actually uses knives a lot. Wish more folders had a similar handle shape and the blade's edge being nice and low. The butt of the handle is properly shaped and slanted for palm and thumb, spine of the handle curves in a great spot to allow a lot of contact with hand, pinky choil pays homage to the fact that it's the most important part of the grip, etc.

It's great to see it when so many are the same tired, crappy straight lines especially if they are a super thin handle it just makes it pile up...

That looks like a pretty cool knife. I like the bolsters on it. Nice pictures JJ

Liong Mah is a good guy. I used to get together with him at the NY knife shows. Crazy designs, really fun. Your friend's knife is tame compared to some of his work. :)

Nice photos, mine arrived today, I'm impressed, at that price point it seems to be a very good deal, was cutting up some boxes for our wood stove and it fit the hand well and the edge it arrived with sliced through cleanly, AUS8 while is often looked down on, does take a sharp edge, just might not keep it forever but it was still pretty sharp after the cutting was done.

Also saw that EdgeObserver's youtube video of the knife, really nice job he does in video reviews/images of the knife.

Nice read here...I was curious about this knife after an article in Tactical Knives...

That's a great looking knife. Just wish it didn't have LAWKS on it. I know you don't have to use it (unless it's AutoLAWKS), but it just bugs me. Love the blade and handle shapes, though.

Hi G, that hasn't been much of an issue, but, I've not had it that long. After slicing up some of the cardboard I stropped it on a leather strop and it was pretty sharp, so I took it to the bathroom for the TP testing, which to me seems like when you are done, you end up with several small strips of toliet paper that frankly, I don't see me trying to use, so, I just throw them away, hate to waste it, but they are just a bit too narrow to really do the job once you've slit it into small narrow sections ;)

Also from the name on the blade, is it really made to just dispense with Mothers? a Mah Eraser? :) my wife didn't like that when I pointed it out, go figure! ;)

AUS8 is so underrated.

I like this knife a lot. While i have never EDC'ed this knife, i am still glad i bought it. Just something about the design and feel that is really sweet. Easily worth the $ in my opinion.

Not a bad looking knife. I've always felt that AUS-8 (while no "super steel") is more than serviceable and can sport a downright scary edge. Their Acuto they used in the Ripples is fine stuff as well, and features a tad bit more in the way of edge retention than AUS-8.

I would buy one if it had a 4.5" blade.

Purchased one this summer, I was very impressed with the fit and finish. It's a very nice knife for the money.
Would I purchase one again? You bet!

I agree their acuto is a great steel far better than I thought it was. People won't like this but
I think its better than vg10.
