I got this knife today and I was reading up on my state laws on carrying it, I live in north Carolina and the law clearly states no concealment of a fixed blade knife while in public, but could this knife be an acception to the law concidering it only has a two inch blade could I carry it in my pocket and get away with it?

Unless the law SPECIFICALLY STATES it only applies to knives over a certain length, there's no exceptions. If you got caught, the officer in question might let it slide, but he certainly might not.

I was planning on putting it in the little pocket of my jeans where the handle would hang out would that be an acception, since its not concealed

Typically, the knife would have to be completely in the open (sheath OK, pocket no) to show the entire length of the knife or it is considered concealed. I am not familiar with NC laws, so don't know if there is some exception there, but I would doubt it.

Here in california we have the same sort of law. As long as it is visible you are good. But you need to keep the handle visablenat all times other wise it is a concealed weapon. Which over here in california would get you a felony charge for a concealed fixed blade. But like i said handle showing your good, hang it on your neck or your belt and keep an eye on the handle.
