CRKT Mirage vs. S-2?

I'm thinking of trying out either the CRKT Mirage or S-2 for the framelock, small sizes.
Something I'm a little concerned about is the sizing/ergonomics ... I know people say that the older CRKTs are better quality, but when I tried handling a friend's M-16 (small) it just felt undersized and uncomfortable. I also bought a Bladelock 2 in the past and had the same problem, even though I thought at the time that the handle looked fairly ergo (it's probably my least favorite knife now).

Any comments and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Both these models have been discontinued for at least 2 years. I think u can only get them either as pre-owned or aftermarket. The m16 comes in 4 sizes,

m16-01 - smallest has 4" handle
m16-02 - compact model, has 4.25" handle
m16-03 - mid size, has 4 5/8" handle
m16-04 - large, has 5 3/8" handle.

Here is link to crkt site showing the size comparo of the 3 m16.

My suggestion wud be to try the 03 size, by the way the 03 denotes that its a plain blade while a 13 wud mean combo or half serrated.

Check the M16-13t from my fav dealer http://www.knifeworks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2781

Both the CRKT Titanium Mirage and Small CRKT S-2 are very small. If you are concerned about how they feel in the hand, you will be disappointed in both of these knives. The Large CRKT S-2 is another story though. It is a very well made knife. I have one of these and got it for less than $60. One of the best-bang-for-your buck deals I have ever bought.

Thanks Kevtan and Deathhead, I appreciate your comments.

I am planning on buying one or the other in the aftermarket. I ask about the ergos because when I buy spydercos I'm usually not so concerned with the size, because I feel like even with size it will be fairly decent; the Meerkat fits great in my hand and I like it just fine. But, like I said, I've had some problems with CRKT in the past so I thought I'd ask around.

CRKT presently has some decent models, but they use to have a bunch. Grab the S-2 while you still can. You won't be dissappointed.

Dude ! ! ! Who waved your S-2? Any pics of the clip side?

I've got one of those, from eBay for a song :D GREAT little knife, solid and smooth.

By the way, I forgot to answer your questions. The person who worked on this knife is STR. Send him a message and he usually responds promptly. I highly recommend him. He is good people. He is actually online here as I am posting.
