Not sure if anyone else has posted this before and I'm not sure if I should because of Spydercos patent on the "HOLE" but if you unscrew the thumb stud on the CRKT "7" there is a HOLE almost the same size as most Spydies.Again not tring to "start anything"(some look down on modifing production stuff) but it just looks alot better than that big stupid thumb stud.

It's a good suggestion that has been discussed in a couple prior threads on the knife. Some folks were able to unscrew the stud with their fingers, while others had to work it so hard that the stud was destroyed in the process.

Hey Todd1,

Just notice that also. Posted the same advice a couple of days ago under the thread 'CRKT with Spydie Hole'.

Interesting finding .... had some proble opening it through this hole though cause the bottom handle scales got in the way (protuding too much out)

Looks like if you want a smooth unhindred opening motion with the hole is by modifying the bottom scales and make the hole just a tad bigger ..... but that would mean no thumb stud in the future.

BTW how ya like to feel of the CKRT Ryan Model 7 .... luve' mine plain edge ..... a bit kinda heavy though.

Oink...oink... Bob
