Hey guys, just wanted to know what your thoughts are about CRKT's Mt. Rainier. Is it going to be good enough for an EDC?? If you own or have heard anything about this little blade, I would appreciate your input. Thanks

These look like the discontinued Commander series, with the LAWKS added and a different blade shape. I had a Comander Red Dog for a while. It was strong, sharp, and had a good lockup, but the zinc oxide handles were just too darn heavy and a little slick. Also, the handle color and bright clip were kind of conspicuous. I get a kick out of how these are marketed, because if I was climbing Mt Ranier, this is about th elast knife I'd want with me! It's hard enuff to hold onto dry and warm, forget about cold & wet!

I have this knife. I use it for my daily choir like opening letters and opening boxes.
I think it is a good knife for the price for daily usage for the office environment
but I don't know if the knife can handle more rigorous environment

The Summit series may not be cool and trick but they are one of the top selling series of knives CRKT makes. That is according to CRKT's 2001 sales reports. I sell tons of them as work knives. We have never had one returned in over 3 years. It is heavy but virtually indestructable. You won't be sorry with it.
