What do you think CRKT will say if I send them 1/2 a PECK. The knife was attached to my keys that I then clip to my day back. Got home today and only had half a knife. The pivot screw must have worked loose. Is this a valid warranty claim or am I out a knife.
Thanks
Patrick

I guess much depends on your reply if they should ask you if you loosened the pivot screw at any point. If you did and you fess up to doing that, you'll probably be outta luck.

Otherwise, it can't hurt to tell them your situation. I'd contact them and ask them before going to the trouble and expense of shipping the 1/2 knife back to them.

I always find it puts them on the defensive when you say, "I've purchased many of your products before and never had any problems." ;)

I never touched the pivot screw. I meant to tighten in fact as I had noticed a bit of wobbel, but did not have a allen key that small. The PECK is very small. I had no idea it was getting that loose though.

I f you send it back and explain to Rod and Paul that the knife came apart without your having used it to pry a coconut apart (true storey - a warranty claim came in to CRKT complaining that a KISS came apart while the owner was trying to pry a coconut apart) they'll send another to you.
