So, the over past few trips I have made to the local outdoor store, these little babies have caught my eye. The bug finally won and I purchased three of them today.

I got a Stockman, a Texas Toothpick, and a Congress (closeups follow):

Having recently gotten back into traditionals, I don"t really have enoough experiance to give an accurate comparison to any other brand. I own a few Case knives and recently picked up a Buck371g. As far as I can initially tell, these are on par with the Buck. I can't put them on the same level as a Case as I am fairly loyal to the brand (my first pocket knife was a Case and I am from a bit south (3 hours) of the Case factory:even visited it before). I apologize for the crappy cell phone camera pictures, but I am home with the kids today and operating on a very condensed schedule (ie....no time to myself-even to snap a pic).

I would love to hear anyone's thoughs on CRKT's attempt to break into this market. I do visit this forum quite often and have learned a lot from the posts.

I've not seen any of these in person, but I'm glad they're getting into the market. Any new slipjoint manufacturing is good news in my opinion!

I've seen just one in person. The fit was very, very good. As best I can recall, and having gained yet more vocabulary through this forum since then, I'd now say the finish was close to Case's "as ground"-- that kind of rough(?) feel, easily addressed with some at-home buffing.

Although I already knew about these, I haven't heard anything about them on this forum. So that would probably explain why there have been few responses to this post. The knives seem interesting enough, and I think it's good that a modern "tactical" company is trying their hand in the traditional market.
