CRKT Polkowski/Kasper Companion

The use of AUS6 steel, and the less than stellar sheath, were a couple of issues with what was basically a very good knife for the money.

Companion.... errr was that the fixed blade or the folder version?

I think I've got one of the fixed blade's lying around somewhere.....

"...any good? - Dogmann"
Dude, the CRKT factory production model of the Polkowski/Casper Companion makes for a great "suit accessory". It has that uncanny ability to make just about anyone "steppin' outside for a moment" lookin' absolutely sharp with a frightfully commanding presence. I would be very careful about carring one. (And Kids! Don't try this at home, in school or at all - please.)

It wasn't a bad knife for the money. At one point, you could buy them new for about $20. They've gone up now that they're discontinued. I had one & sold it. I do prefer my Greco Companion, though. While the CRKT is very good for the money, my Greco has better steel & a much better balance.

Of course, neither compares to the original.
