CRKT Polkowski/Kasper Companion

I was trying to get hold of one of these a few weeks back, but couldn't find a company that still has them (and at a reasonable price) that'll ship to the UK.

Any thoughts on if this knife is worth buying (yeah, I know it's not a patch on the custom and that the sheaths may not be up to much?) And any ideas of where I can get hold of one?

I think ebay is probably your best bet for getting one of these at a reasonable price.
I got one just before Christmas I think it worked out around £24 including having it shipped to England but make sure you double check the postage as the prices can differ quite a lot from one seller to the next.

You simply have to check ebay every 2 days. They show up from time to time.
I'm still hunting Companion in my perfect configuration - black finished plain edge.

But with enough patience you will eventually get it. I was looking for months for crkt professional folding kasper, and now I have 3 of them

I have one, and it's a good knife for the price. The handle is very slim, but comfortable too.

Thanks a lot for the help guys. I must say I'm very wary about buying anymore knives on e-bay though, I've been ripped off in one way or another with every knife purchase I've made on there. E-bay don't seem to care, even when sellers are blatantly not posting out goods that have been paid for.

ya just have to keep looking to find one.

imho the companion, w/a decent custom sheath (niether one that comes with it are any good) is about the best SD fixed blade around for less than $100.

i liked mine so much i got a polkawski custom companion, and the dimensions are very close to the original custom version FWIW.

I Have All 3, The Fixed Blade And The Large And Small Folders And Love Them All. A Lot Of Knife Folks Will Complain About Them Being The Wrong Steel Etc, But If Ya Sharpen Them Up They Will Work Fine. The Fixed Blade Sheath (s) May Not Be Custom, But Have Not Had Any Complaints About Mine.
