Can I get some opinions on CRKT's Ring Razel? I know the Graham made razels have S30V steel and are BOS heat treated... two very good features. I just cant afford the real deal right now though, so I'm wondering if the CRKT ring Razel is a good alternative. I understand they spec the steel as : 9Cr18MoV (similar to 440c)

I'm a huge Busse fan, so I tend to be a "steel snob", but will this similar 440c steel knife be decent? Can it handle prying and all forms of EDC tasks? Its going to be a beater, but I don't mind sharpening often.

I have the CRKT version and although I have not used it as a pry bar to any great degree it has been an awesome scrapper and has held a good edge. Great tool IMO.

I've edc'd my CRKT Ringed Razel on and off since they came out.A really great knife. It feels quite a bit better than what you'd expect out of a knife in that price range. The sheath holds the knife great.

I met up with Jon Graham at a bash for the state of TN from another forum not long after the CRKT fixed blade razels hit the market and I remember him saying......."CRKT did a great job on these. In fact, they are almost too good!" I have the ringed razel and it is a well made knife for the money.

Picked up one from the Graham Brothers at BLADE shortly after they came out. Very nice knife for the money. I used mine to dig/hack/stab/chisel up some roots on a dead leyland cypress in my backyard. I dulled it a bit, but it sharpened up easy enough.

Not real fond of the sheath, but it does the job. A bit bulkier than it needs to be. Easily fixed if I was to get some custom kydex made for it.
