One of the really great things about being in the knife business today is how many really great knives you run into. The two paragraphs below
were written when I had first seen this knife but before I had a chance to play with it and to discover just what a really neat little knife it
is. below the next two paragraphs is how I would presently describe the knife.

Rolox® to Rollock™ Everyone needs to own "The Pocket Knife that does not fold." Blackie Collins invented it, sold it to Benchmark, who sold it
to Gerber, who sold it back to Benchmark, who sold it to Bill Adams of Atlanta Cutlery fame (retired). With Bill Adams' blessings, Columbia
River has redesigned it and renamed it the "Rollock". This new knife uses the same neat mechanism that Blackie put into the first ones, and
it works even slicker. You press down on the back of the blade to raise the point and push it forward until the lock engages. When ready to
close the knife, you simply press on the same upside down lock back, grasp the blade and slide it back, then pull against the spring until the point snaps down into place. Sounds complicated, and it has been. Once you have handled the new Rollock, you will find that they are to be the slickest working version of these knives ever made (not nearly as difficult as it sounds). I expect that thousands of these neat little knives will be sold.

The knife has a very nice 2-1/4" drop point blade of AUS6M, available with plain edge and with combo edge, i.e.: half plain and half serrated. The frame and clip are 420J2 stainless steel, all steel parts are mirror polished. The 3-1/2" handles are translucent polycarbonate with an engine turned pattern inside and a texture for positive grip on the outside. Available in three colors, Clear, Red and Black. Weighs only 2.3 oz. and measures 5-3/4" with the blade fully extended. Suggested retail is $39.99.

WOW, what a neat knife. easy to open and close with one hand, either hand and with less practice than any "one hand" knife of my experience.
press down on the heel of the blade and slide the blade forward with the thumb until it latches open, use the knife as you would any knife of
that size; to close the knife continue to hold the knife in the using hand, use the ring finger to pull up on the lock (my little finger is too week) while pointing the blade upward, if the blade does not immediately slip down just shake it a bit. When the blade has dropped back from the fully open position, grip the blade between the thumb and
forefinger, bracing the butt of the knife against your palm and pull back on the blade until it is ready to fall into the closed position.

This is a great toy and your favorite knife dealer should have them in stock.

i like the size and shape of the blade a lot, and the handle is very attractive :) it's taking me a while to try to operate it one handed though!
