Do a forum search on it, I know I saw a thread with a picture somewhere.

At the Blade Show West, they were saying it should be out around the first of the new year.

What I'm really waiting for is the CRKT/Brian Tighe collaboration, should be impressive.

Excellent- Many thanx!

For those of you that didn't know, CRKT has three new models comming out in the near future:
  • Ryan Model 7
  • Howard Viele Wasp
  • Brian Tighe TigheTac
The wait is killing me! I am really excited about the Wasp. Skylands Cutlery www.skylandscutlery.com has pictures of the models. BTW if you check it out compare the materials on the Wasp to the estimated price WOW!!!

Hi Esav- I went on your link but I can't find the picture of the Ryan, what do I click on ? Donald.

After you click on the link and get to the page, you have to Page Down a little ways.

Oh, and the prototype Tighe-Tacs at the Blade Show west were awesome! At least as well made as the LCC in my opinion! To bad about the AUS8 steel though.

Oh my god that Viele is soooocool. I am so getting both sizes when they come out. That clip has got to go though. I hate flimsy clips that look like they were added as an afterthought.

On another note, AUS-8 steel is fine. I really don't remember the last time I sharpened my daily carry Spyderco Calypso Jr., Mirage, or M16 and they still cut and slice just fine thank you very much. Same goes for my CRKT Urban Shark in the "lowly" AUS-6. Never been sharpened since I got it and it cuts things daily... How many of you rather have the knife cost twice as much because it featured the wonder steel of the month?

I rarely purchase production knives or knives from offshore producers but after buying a slew of Urban Sharks and a large Kasper folder from CRKT, I can say that they make the best knives for the money bar none. The quality is the best I have seen in production folders! I will buy all the knives talked about here with no qualms!

Crkt just keeps getting better...maybe I will devote all my resources to collecting just CRKT knives, one for use/carry and one for putting away, after 20 years when i die and leave all my arms to my son, they will have to be worth SOMETHING, right ?

As a custom knife collector for 30 years, I think I can safely say the CRKT will not be much of a collectors item since the production numbers are high and the varients are not much i.e. only two blades type and lenghts on most folders. Use and enjoy, collect something like CASE that has a large established base. Don't collect to make money, collect beacuse you like what you are colecting and if it appreciates in price, good. Otherwise it becomes a business and loses its appeal. You can tell the difference between dealers and collectotors at gun and knife shows. The collectors are very interested in you and thier products. the dealers only care to sell you something and many will do anything to accomlish that.

If you are interested in CRKT as a collecter, try obtaining pre-production knives and prototypes. I have heard of CRKT protos on Bladeauction before. The most valuable on should be the protos that do not go into production.

I agree with budrichard on both counts. I picked up 3 Mirages, with Wharncliffe blades, NIB for 15.00 apiece about a month ago. I had never had a Wharncliffe bladed knife and wanted to try one. I was totally impressed by the fit and finish on these knives, when compared to Spyderco, Cold Steel, etc.. Gave one to my neighbor and he couldn't believe this was a low end knife. I will definitely buy 2 of these knives that are coming out the first of the year; don't like the Ryan. Bruce

where did you get one for 15 dollars?

BTW,thats one sweeeeeeet lookin knife, cheap too!
