CRKT Seahawk , just saw one on teh bay the other day , ATS34 Hawkbill , semi-serrated - but could not find much info on them when I did a google , other than the materials used and that they are long out of production.

So............ any of you folks own one and what do you think ?

Sturdy ? ,
worthy of hunting down for the 'ol collection ?

Thanks! :D:D

As with the Apache model, the liner thickness doesn't change. No matter what size you choose! So, the liner on the small model knife is much more appropriate than the liner on the largest model knife. When talking about CRKT's ATS34 knives, or discontinued knives, I prefer the med. to small sizes.

Thanks for the info , the liner on the larger model does look thinner than I would prefer.

I gave a Lrg apache to a friend... 2 years ago... I sometimes sharpen it for him... Even after 2 years as an EDC... The liner still only enguages.. A little more than the thickness of itself... And the Lock up is 100%...

This is mine:

A good knife, but.... imho.. almost useless.
It's strong.
1 liner only
no blade play
extremely sharp.

8.9" overall, 3.74" blade.

Why do you think almost useless ? is it not sturdy ?

Why on earth would they only build it with one liner...

Useless for the shape, not the construction. It's sturdy enough to be used, but....

To peel an apple?
very difficult

To slice a sausage?
Very difficult

To cut your beef-steak ?
Difficult.

It's very good just to cut ropes and MAYBE for personal defense ( but I don't know, I've never tought to use a knife for defense )
It is only MY opinion, obviously.

The only liner is the one that includes the liner-lock.

I've put mine for sale some months ago, and it's still there. :-) there must be a reason.

However any knife can be good if you like it ! I bought the Seahawk about 13 years ago, and now I don't like it anymore.
