I had no idea that CRKT and Chris Reeve collaborated on a knife. Anybody have one tucked away?

I said the same thing to myself, it's similar to the Schrade/Walker,Lake Frame Lock, I don't remember where I saw it I think it was in the new issue of Blade Mag., I'd love one myself, I believe it was an Eddie Bauer edition?

The one I saw is an Eddie Bauer edition. It is on ebay.
Not sure why I was surprised, but I was.

Columbia River and Chris Reeve did have a Sebenza collaboration. IIRC it was in 95 or so, fairly early on in CRKT. It was a Zytel handle with a steel support in the lock. I dont beleive it ever reached regular production, just proto-type I think.

When I worked at the Remington knife store, the managers used to go to a vendor show in Bridgeport CT every year. My boss at the time went and spoke to the CRKT guys and messed with one of the proto-types for a while...he liked it quite a bit.

Pretty neat. If any did make it to production, sure wish I would have found one then.

Heard through the vine that it didn't make it into production because they couldn't get the Zytel frame-lock combination strong enough. It was flimsy and couldn't handle some basic spine-wack tests. Just what I heard though.

I tried to order one back in '95/'96 and was told they never made it to production. Now I have a real one.:D
