Has anyone been using these? I have fondled the aluminum-handled one a couple of times and it is oh-so-sexy! If it had better steel I would be on it in a heartbeat, but with Acuto+ I'd like to hear reports from the field.

I have found little info on acuto +
there's this (CRKT says "we're using good stuff!")

vs this ("meh")

I picked up the lower-level PPS version and like it quite well. It has Aus-8 blade steel, which is good enough for me.

I am considering getting the higher-level aluminum-handled version eventually.

thanks for the response. Anyone else? I'm surprised this knife isn't getting more love!

I also have the PPS version. It's a very nice flipper knife that opens so fast you'll think it was AO. AUS8 steel is fine by me (I'm a light user), and I like the size and blade shape very much. The price on the PPS made it a no-brainer, but the Acuto version looks good too.

I looked up the Acuto+ blade steel on Zknives.com knife steel chart. It looks like Aus-8 with a tad more carbon.

I have no experience with it though.

Yes, I have to say that the liner-lock is great on mine. The flipper is nice too.

In terms of size and maybe even blade shape, the Shenanigan really reminds me of the old kershaw Blackout or Blizzard. It is a nice larger knife with a blade that is still small enough to be legally carried in many places.

I tried to sell my Shenanigan, but I was unable to, and I think that might have been a stroke of good luck. I have continued to carry and use it. It is incredibly smooth the operate for a sub $40 knife. I also was happy to remind myself just how sharp an edge AUS-8 can take with just a few light strokes from my diamond rod.
