I've had the CRKT Stubby Folding Razel for a while now but have never used it. I purchased this knife as something to wear when I have slacks on.
So after taking it out and adding a drop of oil to the pivot I start to work on it by opening and closing it for about 15 minutes. At this point I check for blade play and its solid from side to side but noticed some pretty major front to back. I mean I can jiggle the blade while its open and hear/feel the blade rock. It's pretty annoying. I have no knives thy even come close to this much front to back blade play.
I noticed that when I push the frame lock in to the right, there's no play and its rock solid. So I figure ill just take it apart and try and bend the frame over o the right a little.
Well I take off the pocket clip, loosen the pivot and then start to work on the Ram's horn scales. I only managed to get one screw off and stripped the second. After this I just put everything in a zip lock baggy and just tossed it aside. I was pretty frustrated at this point! When I get over it, I'm going o put it back together and send it to CRKT under there warranty. I've never dealt with them so I don't know how strict they are about warranty work?
Like I said, this is a brand new knife and has never ever been used. I'm hoping they'll take care of me. If not, this will be my last knife from CRKT ever.

Does anyone have any experience with CRKT and there warranty program?

Edit: Anyone here with the stubby Razel that can chime in on if there's had any kind of blade play?
Just want to see if this is a common occurrence. Thanks!

You can order parts on their website, it isn't a speedy proccess, but I eventually got the parts I ordered. Your problem should be a no brainer and a quick replacement.

I hope it would be a quick replacement. Going to spring the $5 bucks and get this to them this week. I really really hope it doesn't take forever to get a response.
