the tighe breaker was so nice that i got the mini my tighe too, which is a framelock. i like the mini my tighe better, it is a little heftier and easier to open and close. these knives are excellent, low priced edcs. these knives never get mentioned, way underrated.

3MP,

I've been pondering on this for my fiancee. Her birthstone is aquamarine (which I literally bought her this year, an emerald cut aquamarine stone, sans ring) so I know she'd like the blue. She also likes the fluted/scalloped designs, reminiscent of art deco, so I think she'd appreciate the "prettiness" of it. What I'm wondering about is the action, the opening and closing of it. You say the mini is better in this regard. Also, some sights list the tiny as assisted and others do not. Yours? If you could speak to these points more it would be greatly appreciated. Congrats on your two scores there - I agree, the CRKT stuff doesn't get much traffic around here - I think most perceive them as cheap or chincy.

I have had all three for some time now. I'm not a huge CRKT fan, but Brian Tighe is a Canadian knife maker with some nice designs, I do like these three knives.

Mine are all AO, although I believe all three are also available as non-AO.

I would have prefered the My Tighe in plain blade rather than serrated, but I picked them up at a close out sale at a local sporting goods shop and had to go with what was in stock.

they are both assisted but can have the assist function removed if u have a tool to remove the bar. also, the action on the mini my tighe is much better. the liner on my tighe breaker is stiff and requires both hands to disengage the autolawks and to close the liner. the tighe breaker is much easier to close because its a framelock and does not have the autolawks.
