Hello and howdy!

A couple of ‘gentleman folder’ type knives have caught my eye recently: the CRKT Centofante Tribute and the Kershaw Crown. Both are inexpensive, good-looking, and have micarta handles. Other than the manufacturer specs, I haven’t been able to dig up much dirt on either of these knives.

Anyone out there have either of these (or both) that can share their impressions? Any links to decent reviews?

Much appreciated…

The Kershaw Crown is a very well made knife. The thumb studs are almost perfect. Fit and finish are very good. The Polished Micarta is just fabulous. If it didn't say China on it I wouldn't have believed it.

Thanks Thomas W and Kershaw.:D

Sorry for OT: What are the impressions about Compound?

I like it better than the Asset. Good pocket clip, I think it is the same one that is on the Zing. It is assisted opening and fires very hard.
The scales feel like G10, but Kershaw web site says they are "Glass-filled nylon". But the package it came in said G10, so the jury is still out on that.

Hex screws were used instead of torx and none of my hex keys seamed to fit quite right. But I did get the clip moved to tip up carry.

The Asset clip wouldn't come off to move to tip up and the tip of the blade stuck out of the handle just a little when closed. Sometime on a stone and that is fixed, just a little off the back .
