This knife tends to get coins stuck up between the liners and the blade. It is as you might know open on the underside, except from a small spacer in the end.

Of course it's not a serious problem, just clip it to the pocket, get a wallet or carry them in different pockets...

Have you experienced this?

I am one of many that never puts anything in his knife pocket other than his knife. I don't want it get scratched up or anything. I may put dollar bills or other non-scratching item in that pocket, but that's it.

Used to have the same problem with any of my liner locks. Never found a solution besides reserving a pocket just for knives.

I was cured of the habit of putting coins in the same pocket as the primary carry knife when I needed my Sifu and it would not deploy when a quarter got stuck in between the liner and the blade. That really sux.
Change stays in the left pocket now.

Agree with the others about carrying coins and keys in other pocket so that nothing gets in the way of or scratches your knife.

Be carefull of the Urban Sharks thumb studs. I found mine to be a bit big, with the result that the knife would open due to friction between pocket and thumb studs through minor activity. I actually stabbed myself through the pocket when patting my pockets to check whether knife, wallet and keys were all where they were supposed to be.

It's really sharp though :)

2 days ago the same thing happened to me. The thumb stud opened the knife in my pocket and I wound up with a hole in my pants and my finger.

The best solution is to put the knife in a pocket reserved for the knife. I often have two knives - one stockman and one for defense. The stockman slips into my right front pocket and the defense knife is clipped to the pants.

Andre -- interesting that you should mention that; I put a hole through the pocket of my jeans with my Urban Shark.
