Is anyone familiar with this system fro CRKT ~ The Veff Sharp Professional Sharpening System?

Got one of their soliciting emails this morning offering this for 50 bucks and most reviews seemed satisfactory. Currently, I have nothing,have never used anything and have brought my chefs knives in to be done professionally on a local level. Luckily, I rotate my edc's and many others just lounge around with makers edges. When something gets too dull, I just toss it;)

There seem to be pro's and cons for just about every system out there but I have never seen this one mentioned on BF and my search turned up nothing. Garbage, or worth a try? I need a KISS system that a feeble old man like myself could still manage to use to some degree.
 
That's the one with the diamond rods of varying thicknesses with a removable handle, right? If you know the basics of sharpening, this looks like it could be useful. If not, don't expect it to magically make you an expert. What is you skill level when it comes to sharpening?
 
I was not kidding about my skill level,it's non existent at this point. I would like to get started with a decent, user friendly system. I suppose I'm leaning towards a
Sharpmaker at this point. When I saw this, I thought I'd ask the resident experts of their thoughts.
 
The Sharpmaker was literally made just for you. Not only can you use the guided part, but flip it over an ka pow!!!, you can practice freehand.

Get the sharpmaker and don't look back. There's a reason it is so popular.
