Ok so i have 3 CRKTs an M16Z an M16 tanto and a Wild Weasel. all of the knives have or have had problems. my M16Z the screw on the blade fell our and i had to get a new one as i lost it. my M16 tanto similar problem except now i have to sent it back to them as the liner in coming apart from the handle!. as for my USA made Wild Weasel the bar that extends the blade (assisted opener) also fell out and i will have to sent it back to them as well!

Is it just me or have CRKT got major quality control issues or just bad flaws? I am not trying to start a flame war or anything nor am I attacking CRKT (the blades are just fine).

I own over a dozen CRKT...m16's & M21's....never had a problem.

This can happen when someone has tried to modify / take apart the knives, and not properly re-assembled them. Three knives, all malfunctioning, seem to be past the point of chance.

Their customer service is outstanding ... courteous and fast...
Anyway, just my opinion.

I am yet to own a CRKT folder. I've been thinking about an M-21 and other projects took presedence. However, my CRKT fixed blades have 0 problems, but they are simple designs- full tang and handle scales.

I looked at the new M-16 series that Wal-Mart is selling (with the Auto-Lawks) and it was totally defective right out of the box. No lock-up whatsoever. Glad I let the department manager knew before someone hurt themself with it.

I'm not sure what happened with your knives, but my experience with CRKT has been very positive. The knives are quite good, and the customer service is simply outstanding.

My EDC knife is a CRKT M16-13 Special forces, and I have had nothing but satisfaction with the knife. I saw that they were selling the regular M16 for a lot less at wal-mart and REI, but you pay for what you get.

My M-16 14SF has an issue w/ the liner lock - I sent a picture to CRKT - they told me to send it in to be fixed or replaced - although I HAVE had an issue, I'm beyond impressed with the company, both in quality and customer service.

I have four different models of CRKT knives and have zero problems with them. Quite happy with them. Looking forward to purchasing some of the new models this year (see CrocBlades website) when they are released.
