A thought just occured to me as I was browsing thru my old Tactical Knives magazines and came across an article on CRKT's version of Grant Hawk's design. It seems to be a tough/reliable folder (which I like).
I mean its got -
1. A thick blade
2. Strong metal handle with interchangeable scales for a firm grip
3. A very low-profile, non-alarming clip
4. An innovative and solid lock
That last one, the "Deadbolt Over Grabstep" design, seems to me to have one notch above the OTHER more well-known "tang lock" by Benchmade; the Axis---it's sealed! No or very little chance of gunk and stuff fouling up the lock.
So what's the deal? How come it's not mentioned in the same breath as, dare I say it, the legendary BM 710?
