If I recall correctly, the knife appeared to be an old Remington pattern. A lot of them have been imported from Germany for as long as I can remember. If that is the knife, you should have no problem finding one and the cost should be reasonable.

of course, I could be wrong.

The original was made by John Bowring of Sydney,Aus. as a movie prop. Far as I know, none were ever made for commercial sale.

Steven,

You are correct. John did make the knives for the movie. He is not a knifemaker and has had no desire to make any more of those. I wonder who ended up with the movie pieces?

I saw a TV special with Paul Hogan during the hype. He dumped his wife of twenty years and his kids and married his co-star. The knife is framed and hangs in their living room. If I did that to MY WIFE, my reproductive appendages would be framed and hanging...--OKG

I hear that there is a Dundee III in the works. I wonder if the blade will get licensed out for this one? Seemed like a missed opportunity back then, although I'd bet anyone making Bowies benefited.
Even now, some makers offer a Dundee carry rig.
