Anybody have any experience with these? My wife has expressed interest in a pair so I stopped and checked 'em out in the store. Thirty bucks. A bit steep for a pair of rubber slippers from China (if you ask me). Looks like it costs about fifty cents to make them. The sales lady said they can't keep enough of them in stock. She actually has a "call" list of folks waiting for the next shipment.

Anybody know what all the hype is about? http://www.crocs.com/

Yeah, they're the latest thing. A bunch of the SW developers at my company wear them. They swear they're the most comfy things they've ever worn. I've never tried them.

Just checked out the link - my reaction:

Never trust anyone who wears black soled shoes on a boat.

Boat captain I bumped into a few years back swears by them.

They dont have enough arch for my feet, but if your flat footed they are nice.

I'd give them a try and report back, cant be any more geeky than a utility kilt... or those Keen deck shoes. :p

I don't trust any man who wears clogs, Chef or not.

Why not just walk around with a sign that says "I ride on the bologna pony"? :D

Best Regards,

Dang, if you're going to wear butt-ugly shoes, may as well make them Birkenstocks. Yep, I wear them. I'm on my feet all day, I have wide feet and high arches, so there isn't much that is comfortable to me. Yep, they kinda look like clogs... they are slip ons. Nope, don't have a sign that says I ride on the Bologna pony. I still don't care for their looks, but my feet are happy.

My fiancee is a nurse and loves her pair. They are the lightest shoes I've ever felt. She agrees they are butt ugly but who cares when you are on your feet for 12 hours straight.

Looking at their website it appears they have a pair with higher arches, might have to try and track down a pair... 30 bucks though... :(

I wear them every day and it feels like a chore to put on any other shoe. They are great IMO.

ive never even had those bad boys on just cause they look like something my grandmother wore in the garden. Im a reef fan. www.reef.com not only do they sponser really cool contests but they have sandles with bottle openers built in... (in all honest i dont think i would ever open a beer with one but what they heck)
