Just got the knife in the mail so this is just my first impression........

I must say that this one just feels great in the hand. I only used it a bit in the kitchen but the 6in blade excels at slicing and the knife is very light and quick in the hand!

I've been around knives all my life. I've had the privlage to have trained with all sorts of blades for almost 20 years in different Filipino, Indonesian , and Burmese systems. I've been cut and have cut from live blade training. From what's been posted on the forum it sounds like this was designed as a great camp/ bush knife but I must say it makes a great defensive weapon as well. The way the handle curves down slightly gives you great slashing and stabbing power and in a reverse grip it would appear it slash very well cause of handle design too. The only thing I would add is a finger guard of some sort. Just enough to catch your finger from hitting that sharp blade but again it wasn't designed that way from what I've read.

I really hope to find the time to use this knife outdoors for a bit and post more thoughts.

If your on the fence about ordering this model, do be, you will not be disappointed:)

I would like to order 2 trainers same dimensions as the one I just got from you. With either red or orange handles if possible?

Thanks
Danny

Thanks Daniel -

That was one of the things I was thinking about this design. I favor a knife with the curve that Cooper's design shows, as this puts the blade in an attack angle, whether for attacking vegetables on a cutting board or hostiles in self defense.

I think this one is going to do very well with woodcrafting too, again as the blade to handle angle puts the edge and point in the right position for any work you need to do.

I look forward to your further thoughts after using the knife.

best
