Picked up a Crooked River here on the exchange. The knife had more scratches on the blade than I thought it would, just superficial, nothing deep and completely disclosed at the time of purchase (very honest seller)

I have been toying around with the ferric chloride for a while now and love the 2 tone look. The semi "dirty" look!

I gotta say, I am more than pleased with the outcome. I hope Benchmade takes into consideration a Semi Dirty Crooked River.

For your consideration,

I like it too:cool:

Thanks bud, appreciate it! The 2 tone look on this particular blade with the gray scales makes it really pop! Thinking about putting a deep carry clip on it, probably from an Adamas.

Looking good!

Thanks!

Nice thinking of a crooked river or an Osborne as my next I have different grips and a north fork

I was forever in the 940 camp as I really liked the narrower (from edge to spine) blade profile. I picked this one up on a whim and damn!
I really like it (even more with my mods). Fantastic, solid, smooth, a very good slicer but If I need to puncture a feed bag or break down a
cardboard box, this guy is always at the ready.
