Beo-wulf at www.handsewnleather.com fixed me up good! This is my EDC, & it's never been more comfortable, or accesible, sitting or standing!

Cross-draw/horiztontal carry is my prefered method of carrying a smaller fixed blade (also helps since my right side usually has a pistol on it).

It works well with a backpack, partially concealed, easy to access (and re-sheath), takes minimal effort to access and is very a very comfortable position for my activities.

Rainwalker has made a couple of very nice horizontal sheaths for some Bark River Knives (I have a similar one for my Wet Envrio knife):

Martin Knives has somebody making a very functional system for their knives:

Robert Marcinek made me a very functional horizontal Ram sheath for my SBT:

Spyderco makes a very functional sheath for horizontal carry and one of my favorite knives for travel-carry:

As I dug a few others out today, I noticed my go-to hunting knife is a Bob Dozier Yukon Skinner with his Kydex horizontal/cross-draw sheath. My Brian Andrews Bushcrafter has a geat horizontal sheath as well. I have noticed that if you don't have a deep pouch style or other means of retention, it's good to have a light angle. Also, I prefer the two-strap attachment method, but if the belt loop is wide, it will work just as well.

that's a nice lookin sheath. i don't just mean asthetically (s?), i mean it looks as useful as it does stylish. made for a decent knife, too. alround winning combo, imo :)

What do you use the paracord wrapped the end of the handle for? Also, how has the knife held up so far?

Well, when I need the cord for a snare, bow-drill it's there. This blade is a tough little baby, hard to beat. i have beat it through wood, cinder block, can't go wrong with it!
