Here's a knife I made from a Crosscut saw blade. I love the metal in these type saws.I usually heat treat these but, Did not HT this one,I have been experimenting lately with different saw blades. Had to use a torch to get the handle red hot,where the pins were going, so I could drill some holes for my pins, I kept the blade in water so as not to mess up the temper in the blade. These handles are "Russian Olive" very light wood but, pretty strong. I made the sheath als
ne of my test I did with this knife, was to cut 122 pieces
of thick cardboard and it still would shave hair off my arm and slice paper easily.
