I just received my first one and must say i am impressed. I have tried several liner locks and this buck may be the best one for me. I do building maintenance and the saw blade would be handy for sheet rock cutting and the guthook for nylon webbing and zip ties.

I carry a crosslock 182 first generation... They are greart... The 183 is sweet to...

Here's a pic... of the 183... They come in different colors...

:)

I cant post pics to save my life. My belt clip has only two screws at the top.
The # on the blade is 183 with a half circle that has a dot in the middle of the half circle.

My ONLY complaint with the entire Crosslock series (180-183) is the clip only allows for tip down carry...

BUT I did carry a 180 Solitaire every day for over a decade...

The Cross-lock design won Buck the 'Knife of the Year' Award in 1994. A huge feather in their cap. DM

It's a phenomenal knife ahead of its time.
And that must be one of the reasons
why the cross lock won the 1994
Blade magazines's best knife of the year award.
It is what it is, a winner in every which way.

I wish i would have bought one of these a long time ago, i am loving this knife!
Mine has the squared guthook
