Anyone have any experience with the Crosslock Double Blade? It seems to be the answer to having a plain edge and a serrated edge in one knife.

Please comment if you have used one.

Thanks!

Hi RJ,
I just bought one last week as a gift for a friend of mine (I only buy knives as gifts...didn't make my grandma too happy on Mother's day but that is another story

)

Anyway...I was pretty impressed with the blades. Very sharp and like you said would pretty much meet almost all of your cutting needs, especially if you cut a bunch of rope but usually prefer a plain edge blade for most tasks. The polymer inlay in the handle is comfortable and even with 2 blades the knife isn't too big. I have a potential concern regarding the liner of the knife going completely across the tang and jamming. Inspecting my friend's knife his serrated blade did do this though it was still able to close. Not a major concern but a potential...my advice is inspect the knife carefully before you buy it or have your net dealer do it before he ships it to you.

This knife in the Edge 2000 series seems to have a lot of uses to me and the price isn't too bad, either.

Sorry I didn't cut anything but the knife was a gift.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Greg,

Thanks for the input! I was beginning to think that no one had handled it.

I'll have my net shop check it out, and send them your observations, to be sure I end up with the best quality.

I'm not familiar with the "Edge 2000 Series". Guess I've been away too long.

Thanks again!
