Have had this crosslock for quite some time and got to looking at it earlier.
Noticed that one end of the box says 950 and the other end says 180.
Am sure it is a 180 but wondering what a 950 is??
Couldn't find a reference to a 950 in BCCI site.

Anyone know?

Nor does this one have a year symbol, or the normal crosslock model stamp on the liner. So I don't know how old it is.

Sorry about the box laying on the 560. Just a prop to take a pic of the end. And was just comparing the size of the 560 to the 180.

This might be a good one to email Joe Houser and see what he might know about it.

I've not heard of a 950 either.

Pack Rat, is yours Stainless steel or Aluminum...
I have 3 different ones but never got a box or any paper work with mine...

I have a Stainless Steel one and a Blue Aluminum one and a Damascus one...
Maybe these are 950s... I wish I new, I just thought they were all 180s...

I've seen a few of them here on the forum... Anyway that sweet one for sure...
Here's a few pictures of mine... I hope it's okay with you...

Looks like yours is Stainless Steel after looking at mine... :)

Is there a reason its called a "crosslock"? It looks like a plain old liner lock to me. I does look really nice though.

Not sure what a 950B is but the catalog number 2468 is for the limited production Buck Crosslock with the stainless steel handle model #180EM. The tag on the other side is correct. These were a small limited production with the stainless version being the only one that had ATS-34 blades. I believe these were most likely made sometime in 1997 as stated in the flyer I have for a shipping date of Oct 1997.

All mine are only stamped "BUCK USA" with no date code however my stainless one is also engraved "ATS-34" and "LIMITED PRODUCTION 1997" on the left side of the blade.

Armands blue handled version is most likely a one of a kind.

Thank you for that good info Ged. Answers mine and maybe Armands questions.
Unfortunately this blade isn't marked with anything other than Buck and USA, so I won't call it ATS34.
The box does say Pat Pending.
I suspect the 950 label was probably a typo applied by a dealer somewhere along the line.
And yes, it is stainless steel and easily weighs the same as a 110, give or take.

Thank you all for the info.

And you know there isn't a problem with you posting any of your pics in any of my threads Armand!! At all!
I consider it all good info.

Great info gedlicks, Thanks for sharing it...

My Stainless Steel one has a ATS-34 on the Blade...
But does not have "Limited Production" on the Blade...
My Damascus has "Limited Production" on a mirror Blade...

Stainless Steel...

:)

Thanks Pack Rat...
