Might sound like a stupid question, but can the Buck Crosslock be taken apart? The hinge, in pictures, looks like a security screw. I normally favor fixed blades, because of the build up from field dressing, that gets into folders. Fat and hair isn't that easy to wash out. If this can be taken apart, this might fit the bill.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hello,
The Crosslock can be taken apart at the blade hinge. It does take a special tool, or a pair of needle nose pliers, to do the job. It is important to remember to reapply some loc tite to the threads to make sure they stay in place. The knife was not designed to be taken apart but it is doable.
Hope this helps,
