Sounds kinky - doesn't it?
I've had this piece of crotch walnut for longer than I can remember. It's been a few years since I found it in a fire wood pile. Had it hanging by a string in my shop ceiling for some time and then had it stabilized last year.
Got the "Feather" to run right down the middle of this hunter handle.
It's 324 layers of hot-blued chatoyant Damascus and stainless steel take-down fittings.

Available next week at the Janesville, Wisconsin Badger Knife Club Show.

Terrific work, Karl, I like how you got the handle to look "bookmatched" even though it's one solid piece. It's not often the grain runs that consistently through the whole width of the blank. Gorgeous etch on the steel, and your signature bolster, too!

Thats Real nice Karl I got a pice like that from Don some time ago. I gave it to a friend that was sending some stuff out and forgot all about it till now thanks for the reminder. good luck at the show

never thought I'd compliment another man on his crotch, but Karl, you have great wood.

Very nice hunter, Karl !
Great looking walnut, blade steel and it's a take down !
Wish it were mine.

Nice chunk of wood there - nice knife too. And, yes, DAVE LISCH, I'll get your little thingy stabilized. Sheesh.
