Cul4u01 Crow Knife arrived in Reno!

Whee.....Happy Holidays indeed! Now to figure out how to get it into the house, and keep myself out of the doghouse...:)

Thanks everyone, and yes, I'll do a review and pics when I get it. May take a week or two, but I'll get to it.

Kinda looks like Sher made it:thumbup:

You're right, Auntie's specs she sent me.

18.5 inch
weight 29 oz
spine thickness 3/8''
Made by Sher
Satisal wood handle

Picked up a Cherokee Rose too....:D, sorry, but the price is secret. I will say, auntie is one class act, NO one can best her ever in her area of expertise, which is quality products, for affordable prices, and the best customer service EVER!

I really like that design, not trying to look uniform. Looks like a joy to use outdoors.

The only gripe is the edge looks wavy.

I had one of these for years before I sold it; I had to do some comfort mods to the handle but then it was a serious workhorse!!

I like my blades to have some "belly", and I'm sure the edge is straight and true, just like all of my other HI blades.

I think that's a trick of the bamboo roll it's on not being exactly parallel to the blade and having different color strands in it as well.

OK everyone, the Crow Knife arrived yesterday, and all I can say is, "WOW, OMG, and Gee Whiz!"

It's an impossibly well built blade, specs are - Made by Sher Kami, OAL 18.5", 28.8 oz, spine 7/16".

It has a top swedge starting about 1 1/2" edge from the tip. The spine is thicker than even my Tarwar! Even with a blade as thick and long as this one, the point of balance is right in front of the guard, thus, making this blade really fast in the hand. However, there is just enough forward weight to let you know it is there, and that there is a lot of power in that blade.

I think this blade just went to number 1, in my book; that may just be because I am so fond of it right now, but it's definately in my top 3, or top 5.

Enough jabbering, on to the pics!

I am sorry, the pics were done in my dimlit garage, with a very old camera, I will get up some better pics, when the weather improves, and I can get outside.
