Here is one I just picked up today. Gary Crowder saddlehorn trapper, just under 3 inches closed, D2 blades, olive brown pick bone scales. Well done, Mr. Crowder :)

Great looking knife, Thomason! The fit of the scales looks very good indeed. Congratulations on your purchase. :)

Thanks, freezergeezer, I really do like this little puppy. Greenbone Boy just likes it because he sees a hint of green in the bone :D

ROTFL, Molded... like silly putty. Hey olive brown, olive green kinda of grey area there. But hey I also happen to like Saddlehorns. This one looks pretty stout.

Beautiful. I had a single blade with high polish black g10 scales and fancy file work...GREAT knife.

Great looking knife, just beautiful.Fit and finish look outstanding.Good luck with everything Rob. :)

I'm jealous, one of the nicer saddlehorns I've seen. Rare to see Gary work in D2 as well.

Looks like he's changed his markings. The trapper I got last year did not have his name on the blade, but was tang stamped Gary Crowder, Sallisaw OK. Does yours have the same tang stamp?

Last time I talked to him he was playing with etching, but was not sure if he was going to keep doing it or not. I have one piece with the etched name and the rest with the stamped version.

brownshoe - nope, no other markings other that his name. After seeing cpritle's post about his barlow (shown in his avatar) I asked him if he would mind if I had Gary make me one just like it. It has not been that many months ago that I got it and it had the tang markings like you described. The saddlehorn I got from Julie at AZCK so I dont know if it is a more recent one or an older one. In other words the markings are different but I don't know squat other than that.:)
