You won't be disappointed. Very happy with mine.

i was looking at that earlier to day and now i am really thinking about getting one when i get more time for camping and out door stuff again. looks like a really nice knife and the lanyard on it looks very well thought out yet simple

You're going to enjoy - a big chopper that can pop hair. Here's mine out for a stroll and helping me make ground blinds:

I just got my new knife this afternoon and have not had a chance to mess with it yet, but it does seem to be sharp right of the box. I think I will like it.

For heavy chopping, my Scrap Yard Dog Father LE and Ranger RD9 did better.

But for slashing through palmettos and whacking down small saplings in one quick strike, The Crowell-Barker was best of them all. Seems to be a good solid knife.

I think it's a fantastic camp knife, a great "if you could have only one" blade. I sold mine after getting a FFBM since that's a better chopper & I prefer to carry that with a smaller thinner knife, instead of one all-round knife. But I miss it! A sweet sweet blade.

UDTJim, I got mine from A.G. Russell however I did find it cheaper from ableammo.com

wow, I just used it for the first time chopping a limb off a tree (3 inch diameter) and it worked great, the blade still looks fine. This is my first large blade for this kind of use and it is great.
