Are you planning to use it as a drive wheel for a belt grinder, or just as a tracking idler? I can't think of anybody who sells one just by itself. The top wheel on a burr king is usually 6", and bader sells a 6" drive wheel for their grinders. Both have some sort of strange bearing and shaft systems though. Sheffields sells a 3" crown face pulley with a 1/2" arbor, if that helps.

Call Stephen Bader Company, 518-753-4457. If they don't have what you want they will make it for you.

Magnum, get a Texas Knifemaker's Supply catalog. I am almost positive they sell just the pulleys as well as the entire tracking assembly. If you can't find one, get me a chunk of aluminum or something that would work for it and I'll be glad to turn one for you on my lathe.I was talking to Ray, MadDog2020, and he has access to some kind of nylon or polymer that might work. Take care! Michael

cool, thanks for the help guys, i plan on using it as the drive wheel, it's a two wheel sander, like a burr king. thanks again guys, and l-6 i'll give texas supply a call, what's the number? nylon polymer eh?

Are you going to drive the top wheel? Burr kings drive the contact wheel, and the top wheel is just a tracking idler. BTW, burr kings are so smooth because they use a concealed belt drive to drive the contact wheel, but lots of grinders just mount the drive wheel on the motor shaft.

yes it's the droive wheel on top, it has a concealed pulley. i can't find contact wheels with a slot for machine key stock, i'm using the contact for tension instead. on the other grinder i'm making the bottom contact wheel is the drive wheel, i'm just gonna file a key way into it.
