Hello everyone!

After 5 months and one lost knife later (I hope that customs / postal thief who took first one at least can appreciate knife) My crown jewel is here.

When my grandmother died in summer and I got bit extra money as heritage. Then I ordered a custom made canoe from knife maker Jeff Mutz. It spawned 2nd canoe that is shown in his web pages. I fell in love with design that Ed showed as he got red plain jane canoe with nice jegging made by Jeff.

I went different way. As this was my first custom made Canoe way I like it probably last one for quite while depending how I get work I went whole nine yards with this:

Long pulls: Yes
Swedge: Yes
Half stop: Yes
Damasti steel: Yes, made by Jeff himself
File work: yes
Handle Buffalo horn / Ebony: I took Buffalo horn by Jeff's recomendation.

Here it is: My Mutz Canoe: Though not unique anymore and you can order similar now, this is my brain child:

F&F is excellent. No rough spots, no gaps no bladeplay, tight pull and so sharp it cuts like a light saber

Only bad thing I can find this: This is so beautiful and pretty: How dare I carry this? :D

Congrats!
The photos could use some more illumination, I think it would make justice for the knife!

I know A.L. I'll take better photos when there's more sun light outside or less overcast anyway. I'll post better pictures once the weather allows.

Looks great Jani! It's so cool to get a knife built with your exact specifications, isn't it?

That is gorgeous! The etched pattern is different on each side of the blade which is cool in my opinion. Carry it in good health!

That is magnificent! You are really making me want need a canoe.

Congrats both on getting the knife you wanted and getting it your way, Jani. That's what it's all about.:thumbup:

Congratulations on a fine knife Jani. You'll always remember your first custom, she'll forever be special.

Thanks all. I have to say, single Blade Canoe is very, very nice. Too bad such do not exist in product knives :) I do like the blade. I like the fact pattern is different from another side than other side.

I owe big thanks to Ed, who I can "blaim" ever meeting this single blade Canoe pattern :D

That's a grand looking knife right there Jani, you should be proud. Probably have to get a pocket-sheath for that one.
