Crow's Head Ring Knife WIP

Hi all, it's been a while since I did a WIP, been busy with learning folders and trying to get some orders out. I've had the drawing for this simple knife for a while so last night decided to give it a go.

Transfering the drawing to 1/8" piece of 1080.

Profiled with the band saw.

Flattening the flats.

Cleaned up a little.

Working on the finger hole.

Filing the thumb notches.

Ready for drilling.

Holes drilled, starting to texture.

Textured, ready for HT.

Heating.

Blurry, but cool.

Quenched.

Thanks John, carbide bit in a Dremel tool.

Starting to grind.

Grinding complete.

Handrubbing.

Blade is handrubbed, ready for etching and fitting of the copper plate.

Thanks yall

Starting on the copper plate.

Fitted and textured.

Blade etched.

Blade buffed, brass pins cut.

Peining pins.

Plate is on, pins are textured.

Applying Cold Blue to everything.

Buffing, the more spot touching up with the Cold Blue and steel wool.

Finished. Sheath is next. Overall length is 3 1/4" with a 1 5/8" blade, steel is 1080, plate is copper with brass pins.
