Cru Wear Military pre orders?

I would have, but I just paid my truck (2004 Ford Lightning) off last month. Paid two big monthly payments in April and May to finish it off. When I get paid this Friday I am going to jump in on this one. I have no sprint run knives at this point. As a Millie lover, I got to have at least one. ;-)

The thing about knifecenter is they don't charge your card for the preorder until it ships. So even if you have the money now, you gotta make sure you will also have the money when it ships.

I am aware of that. I've cancelled a few pre-orders due to that very reason. Things got tight in the interim between the order and the shipping.

Not sure when the pre-orders started, but I got mine in on May 4.

Just noticed this language on the page the other day though: "This item is a Spyderco Sprint Run. We will make every effort to fill every pre-order taken, but due to the limited nature of the run, there are no guarantees. Expected Fall 2013." Didn't notice this when I ordered? I am surprised that they don't have a firm number available, assumed the pre-order would be guaranteed as long as Spyderco actually makes them. Sure hope it gets filled, I'd be mighty bummed to miss out on this one...

If blades are in the upper hardness range I would think of buying one.

I pulled the PO trigger last May yet. :D

Now that I put in my preorder today with KC, please tell me a good bit more about the Cruwear steel.

This is a full blade correct? Not a laminate?

I haven't read anywhere that it is a laminate, I wouldn't think so;

The C36GPGY Military Sprint has a conventional Military Model blade-shape made of CRU-WEAR that is PlainEdge and ground-flat with an oversized blade hole.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a laminate blade? I am somewhat interested in this sprint :)

I haven't pre-ordered yet. Still on the fence about it or waiting until it's released and see if I can find a better deal.

Laminate is like a sandwich, usually a very hard steel in the center with a softer but more corrosion resistant steel on the outsides.
