Over the past few years I have really appreciated the quality of Hinderer knives and have found myself today owning five. While browsing the exchange I came across a XM-24 with a crusader cross etched on the blade as well as the frame and clip insert. There is also the word THOR etched on each side of the blade. The price was right so I pulled the trigger to add to my small herd. Do you think these etchings were made by Hinderer or were they an aftermarket job? If anyone knows anything about this knife, I am extremely interested in its background. I don't have the knife yet, but will post the pictures from the previous owner.(I hope he doesn't mind)

Thanks.

Looks like one of those laser sessions from a get together or training at the ranch, I've seen a few XM's about with random lasering, one was almost completely covered with the horse head logo.

Whilst not official in terms of a released feature / service (AFAIK) it most likely was done at the work shop.

Best to contact Rob for the final word on this.

I know of these examples and others not mentioned such as puppy paws on L's.

But still unsure if official in any way...perhaps??? Only an e-mail to Mr. O. can prove reliable on this issue.

This was probably done as a favor for one of Rick's customers.

Thanks everyone for your input and thanks Rob for the final call. I'm glad this was done in shop. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.
