Anyone have experience with them? Saw a Youtube video and they look pretty cool. The guy used some flamable gel. Found the set, plus a carrying case at bestglide for under $80. What do you think? Is that a good deal?

I've wanted to get one, but they are expensive. You can get a nice titanium pot and a Nalgene for what the Crusader kit costs. Add a very inexpensive Esbit stove and you have the same function with less weight.

A good alternative is the GSI stainless steel cup that fits a one liter Nalgene. I have a couple water bottle holsters that the cup will fit into and then I drop in a Nalgene. This makes a good setup for a PSK-- fill the Nalgene full of goodies, pair it up with the cup and you can strap it around your waist or carry it in a pack pocket.

My kit with a slightly different pot. Note the water purification tablets in foil and the compass top for the Nalgene. You get the added ability to fill the bottle full of gear, the back-up compass, and a holster which is an additional cost with the Crusader kit. Weight is 50% less.
Pot: $6.95
Nalgene compass top: $8.95
Nalgene bottle: $7.95
LowePro bottle holster: $15
Esbit wing stove : $3
