i am looking at the crusader forge folders. I have no experience with these knives would like to get some info on them good bad etc. also i am looking for a tactical folder it does not have to be a cf but i do want something built tough any other suggestions would be appreciated

I have no experience with them either, but take a look at Strider.. I love my SMF.

have a flipper ordered & one thumb stud used i bought on forum. these are probably the strongest folders in the world. too heavy for edc but real smooth opening with zero play in any part of entire knife. i will write a review when my new one comes. the used one is 2006 model & the best way i can describe it is a busse strength folder on steroids.these would best be considered military users to carry on webbed gear. i do'nt think a human could break the blade, if you hit a person with butt of knife .guaranteed to break bones.

How heavy do they run when compared to some of the other standard "tough" knives? (Strider, Sebenza etc.) if you have a comparison

weight equates to 1.75 or 2 sebenzas. i wiil get apostal scale soon since this question will come up again down the road. these are expensive folders, do'nt know if forum allows prices given on this section. computers are new to me ,my son will be here at xmas to show me how to post pics. i assure you this folder could be thrown against a brick wall & operation would not be impaired. width across back is 5/8 in.handle scales about3/16, blade 3/16 by 4.5 in. titainiman clip machined from 3/16 stock. width across frame & clip is about 13/16 in.bear in mind these are knives are really made for military market not outdoorsman.i beleive if you are strong enough knife could be stabbed thru 1/8 in. steel, maybe 3/16 in. steel.the s30v is said to be triple tempered, guess we have'nt heard much about these since most members look for more versatility in knives. coprrection on blade length, although a 4.5 in .blade is offered mine is 3.75 in. in length.

I took a look at em on their site. I have two knives which use s30v (lone wolf t-3 and a benchmade dejavoo) and it performs well. In fact it is the only stainless I have found that sharpens so well and easily.

Those knives do look stout as hell. The fixed blades aren't far out of the weight thickness park as Busses but in stainless.

My T-3 has a 4 3/4 inch blade at 3/16 inch thick. This Crusader you have is even stouter than the T-3 which is stout enough.

Too bad ya didn't get the longer blade. Nevertheless you have an excellent folder for hard use. Mine get's used mainly when I have to be out and about in urban areas. I generaly much prefer a fixed blade for hard use.

this baby weighs 9 oz. i have plenty of big tacts including cuda max 5.5 in blade &sog pentagon elite 2 with 5 in. blade.really a bm 710 is plenty for unexpected guests. got the tridents out of curiositity. wanted to see what a monster max folder could be. like i mentioned only one i know of that could be thrown at brick wall & still perform perfectly.
