thanks to toyz for the compliment but i certainly am no xpert on c.f. realize that this co. makes a large line of straight knives in addition to folders. they are a custom knife with even the clips being machined. the 3 in. model has blade stock slightly over 1/8 th & the larger model around 3/16 ths. i took some pains to show the mirror bevels that knifenut1013 put on smaller knife. the smaller is a 2006 model & i know that i'm at least the 2nnd owner , maybe even the 3rd or 4th home. the 2006 has absolutey no looseness & both are as smooth in operation as most folders out there. knifenut mentioned the triple tempered s30 was increadible in edge toughness but i have'nt sent these knives in to be tested on sisal rope because the bevels are too thick to be slicers.the larger model which i received in 2010 weighs 11oz.here are my personal opinion of these knives:
are'nt good as slicers, whittling, food prep & mundane cutter usage.
too heavy for pockets
as possession goes --best as a collector oddity
only knife that could be thrown against a brick wall & still function
lock failure would almost be impossible by human strength
probably best at breaking in doors & defeating light metal
most people would be better served buying a strong straight knife & a quality folder.
construction quality is world class.--dennis

Thanks for the review :) looks like you saved me some money, I don't really have a use for a knife that bulky, they're just so cool looking...

I showed my metro folder a few weeks ago, very solid, huge, overbuilt, thick.triple tempered s30 blade, real nice edge grind.it carries pretty well for a knife this big, much like the 0200.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

yea the metro was the one I was considering because it was slightly smaller, with a 3.25" blade if I read correctly, is it still extremely think though? I'm just worried about it being comfortable to carry, plus not being able to slice well loses points in my book.

This metro is almost a 4" blade, as you can see its a big as a zt 0200, 0300 if not bigger.it isnt something that can be carried every day, thats for sure, but ive carried it & its not bad because its kind of flat, that helps a little. they also arent the easiest knife to get, & they arent cheap, close to 600.00.i lucked out & got mine almost by accident....

What I know about them:

1) However big you think they are, they're bigger.
2) They're awesome.

I believe it's the Metro. They made them for people who wanted a smaller CF folder.

Thats the impression I got but up top there is a picture of a metro dwarfing another folder. Do they all come in different sizes possibly or is there a standard. The website wasn't overly informative..

Okay maybe I'm wrong. Sorry.

Go to three little indians custom knives website and check out their Crusader Forge page.

The last time I was there they had many pics.

CF website is a little lacking - you have to use the dimensions and a ruler to figure out how big the knife will be in hand.
