crusader

I ordered one, to use, and was lucky enough to have scored! :D And as soon as I received it I took it out in the back yard to the wood pile and wacked a few branches with it. Took some pics and posted a few here. I do not own any safe queen guns or knives except for a Model 12 Winchester shotgun that I purchased back in 1959 when I was working at a sporting goods store the summer between my junior and senior years in high school. I did use that shotgun quite a bit for a number of years, but no longer hunt so it is now a "safe queen". My guns and my knives are to be passed down to grandkids when I die except for those my wife wants, assuming I go first.;)

Got lucky, scored one that I planned to keep. Was my first knife in that finish but wasn't a fan of DCBB. I let it go to someone who will hopefully enjoy it.

I posted some pics on the Dave Brown Crusader Valentines Day sheath give away thread and also the picture "sticky" thread at the top of the Busse forum here. Don't have any pics of the guns in a format that I can post here, and unfortunately they were all lost in a tragic boating accident last summer so I can't take any more!;)

I did not get one. I like the way they look, but I thought the points might be uncomfortable. That's what I told myself so I could hold out for the ganza.

I debated about that myself, but went ahead. As it turns out, I don't really find them all that uncomfortable. They aren't really sharp and I don't find them a problem.

Did you try for a Desert Crusader in the ganzaa? I debated about going for one of those too, but I figured I better not in order to keep a bit of peace and harmony at home!:D

I was going to get an 8, until I saw the swatmandus. Hopefully I scored a couple of those. other stuff tempting as well.

It helps if you hold it by the handle...:D

I never bought the TG or TGLB because of the thickness and the available finishes. When I saw the TG Crusader, the difference in looks from the TG drew me to try it. I also liked the limited availability and am awaiting to see if it appears in a movie. I'm glad I bought mine.

The handle is great. I'm really liking the knife as a whole.

The only thing I would like to change is the thickness, which is unnecessary weight. I like the balance and the feel. If it were 3/16 or 5/32, it might weigh 4-7 oz. less but remain plenty strong for my uses.

I'm really liking these.

Got one of the desert camo ones in the recent ganza but would have rather got the dc finish as I do fully intend on using it which will just ruin the coating. Won't have it for a couple weeks though. Anybody need a kidney?
