Cruwear military patina?

I'm thinking to get one of these and was wondering how easily this steel forms a patina. How easy does it take a patina compared to m4 for example? I'm not concerned about rust...I actually like the looks of a nice patina and was wondering how long it took to develop on this steel. Pics would be welcome too!

Thanks,

Lance

From what I hear it doesn't really patina. Mine didn't. Then I heard from the Mastiff (probably the most knowledgable on the steel) it will pit. I now keep mine tuff glide treated.

I remember seeing a photo, from spketch, where there was an unexpected patina on his cruwear. There's a thread about it several months ago.

Thanks guys. I asked this on the other forum too and the consensus seems to be that it doesn't tend to form much of a patina. Much less than m4 from what most are saying.

Actually, steels don't patina, they patinate. The old way was to pee on the blade and leave it out for a few days.

My Cruwear Military stained a little after cutting a steak with it. I didn't wash the blade off till a couple hours later.
