I have been a lurker for a number of months and finally became a member after getting excited about the Cruwear. I had a lefty millie laying around neglected and with all the talk of the Cruwear I wanted to visualize what the Cruwear might feel like, so I dusted off the mighty lefty and realized how great of a knife it really is. Super sharp, super smooth and how substantial it felt in my hand. Back to the Cruwear. So I did what it seemed like most of you seekers were doing. Stalking the many online dealers for an opening; posting when a door cracked open a bit, or an order went down to be helpful to the other seekers on the forum. While doing my own stalking, I found a different knife and preordered it. The order went through but shouldnt have and in the process opened an email dialog in which I was able to have my preorder refunded and I stated I was really trying to snag a Cruwear. Let me share excepts from my next to last email with a very helpful Robert from Spy

We do take preorders on the Cruwear, but again we don't encourage it. There is never any guarantee on how they will be distributed on a sprint run and so we really don't want to disappoint people.
We try to take care of all of our customers, but there will always be someone who becomes unhappy and doesn't realize that some things are beyond our control.
Now let me share an excerpt from Roberts last email to me. We were able to acquire some more Cruwear knives before the next shipment was sent by Spyderco. We are glad to be able to get this knife out to you for tomorrow's mail.
